Jenny Gates
I have always been passionate about animals as I have grown up with dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, hamsters and a horse. In 2019, I adopted my 1st rescue dog called Rocky. He was such a special boy to me, he was 7yrs old when he came to England from Spain. He had clearly been mistreated in the past however his trust grew quickly with me and he became my shadow. Sadly he was diagnosed with heart disease and heart failure after only 2.5 yrs of being in my life. He died 6 months later. He has left a massive hole in my heart and I will never forget the love he brought to me. A year later, a customer offered her dog to me and my family. Maggie, who is a crazy Vizsla joined our family. She certainly keeps us on our toes.
I was made redundant after working 13 years in an office, this gave me my opportunity to do something I really loved. I wasn’t sure what that was going to be but I knew it was going to involve animals. When my youngest daughter started preschool, I offered to walk a friends dog as she was working full time. We spent many hours together and met some lovely people whilst out on our walks. It was them that told me I should do dog walking. They could see the passion I had towards dogs. I’d never started a business before but it didn’t faze me at all. I knew this was what I wanted to do and then Jenny's Dog Walking business took off.
Ameena started volunteering with me in 2021 when I took her rescue dog Sunny on walks. Ameena had a natural way with dogs and I could see how well they responded to her. She had the passion like me to get the best out of the dogs. Ameena now works full time with me and has been a valuable asset to the business.

About Us
Ameena Jones
Hi, my name is Ameena. I joined Walks 4 Paws as a volunteer back in 2021. I had just completed my animal management level 2 course at Sparsholt college.
My love of animals began when I was much younger. It started at the age of 5 with my first pet, a rabbit called Upsy Daisy. As I got older, I used my pocket money to help sponsor Guide dogs.
On the 19th September 2020, I adopted a rescue dog called Sunny and then on the 3rd January 2022 we welcomed Loki, our 2nd rescue dog from A New Leash For Life, a charity that I support as much as I can either through sponsoring or donating. Adopting Sunny & Loki has enabled me to learn about patience, empathy and a strong commitment to animal welfare.
I am in the process of completing a dog training course with the dog college to enhance my skills and knowledge. I’m proud to say I have already completed my dog first aid training & dog law.
I am calm, patient and compassionate with good observational skills who is committed to animal welfare ensuring they thrive.
I have been providing a pet sitting services for about four years, offering dependable and loving care for pets while their owners are away. Our clients trust me to treat their pets like family, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for in their own homes. I pride myself on being reliable, attentive, and respectful of both pets and their routines. Whether it's feeding, walking, administering medication, or simply offering companionship, I am committed to meeting each pet's unique needs with care and professionalism.
